PpcProtect Ask StyleGuard - Styleguard Glass Fence & Railing Systems

Ask StyleGuard

People Often Ask Us...

Absolutely. StyleGuard glass fences & railings use ½” thick tempered or laminated glass panels. Our glass is 4 times stronger than regular glass, made to withstand hundreds of pounds of pressure per square inch, so you can be confident that your fence or railing will be strong, safe, and last you a lifetime.

Glass fencing has the same height requirements as alternative types of safety barriers. Generally 4FT - 5FT from the surface to the top edge of the glass is most common depending on the State where you live. Our standard height is 42", and we can go up to 60" with our signature options, and up to 72" for heavy duty projects. Your glass barrier can be shorter than 42" as well, if we are building on a pony wall or similar mounting surface. In some cases, height requirements are further specified by local ordinances. If you are not sure of the regulations in your area you can check out this link for additional information: municode.com/Library .

StyleGuard believes in offering the highest quality to all our clients in strength and design. We use updated duplex 2205 stainless steel because it is approximately 5x stronger than 316 stainless steel. We do provide custom offerings, so we do continue to carry hardware styles that are still currently being made in 316 if that is what you prefer.

Price depends heavily on project specifics! Our systems start at $99/ft, but many other factors play a role in pricing your system. Feel free to give us a call for a free estimate. We get 99% of quotes out within hours or minutes of your message. When you call, we can write up a quote for you in real time over the phone.

We can quote your project with and without installation. When we send you an estimate, we quote you for installation separately so you can see the breakdown of your costs. If you are not using our installation services, we can just as easily quote you without installation. The $99/ft pricing you see on our website does not include installation, but we always provide a competitive and licensed installation quote if you are in our service area.

Yes. We are partnered with Frame2Finish Construction and can provide a one-stop-shop glass enclosures and installation.

Luckily, steel and glass fences are fairly simple to install. We have an installation guide and we can help with installation over the phone. There are also many tutorials on the internet. If you have any concerns along the way, just give us a call and our customer care team will answer any questions you might have.

Once you're ready to order, we'll take your deposit, share our contract with you, and schedule another visit to your property to conduct a layout before we begin cutting your glass. Just let us know you're ready to go and your new glass fence is on its way!

We typically tell our clients they can expect a finished product 3-4 weeks from the date of their deposit. This can vary, however, depending on the size of your project and any other work that is taking place at the project site. Oftentimes, we can complete systems faster than this!

Our glass fence and railing systems are very easy to take care of and require little to no regular maintenance. Washing occasionally with warm water and dish detergent (or a gentle laundry detergent) is more than enough to keep your glass clear and clean. We strongly suggest not leaving running water directly on the panels for extended periods of time to avoid mineral deposits. After cleaning, its best to wipe down the panels with a microfiber cloth to eliminate any water spots. Besides the rare and easy maintenance, just sit back, relax, and enjoy the view!

We offer 2 options for protective coating for your glass. If desired, you can order them with your installation and we'll apply the coating as soon as we finish your install. Both options help keep water, oils, scum, and grime off of your glass, maintaining its long-term clarity.

  1. Enduroshield is a common glass cleaning product that works on all sorts of indoor and outdoor glass surfaces. Just one application is enough for 3+ years of crystal clear glass.
  2. Diamond Seal is slightly more expensive than Enduroshield, and is applied to the glass panels in the factory, immediately after production. Immediately applying this treatment minimizes the amount of particles that come into contact with your glass, as opposed to applying one later in the installation process.

Many things make StyleGuard the best glass fence and railing company! For one, our installation team is entirely in-house, and we are a licensed contractor. This means there is no 3rd party throughout your purchase and installation with us, which streamlines the process for everyone. Plus, should something ever happen to your fence and you need to engage your warranty, these issues are handled in record time, by the same team that installed your fence originally.
